Party Organs and Structure

Chama Cha Rasilimali national party has a structure led by 12 organs.

Chaired by the Party Leader, the National Delegates Convention (NDC) is the supreme organ of the Party with the power to determine Party policy. The NDC is composed of: 

  1. Party Leader and Deputy Party Leader(s)
  2. All members of the National Executive Council  
  3. All Members of the Political Council  
  4. All members of the Party Parliamentary group 
  5. All Members of the Governors’ Caucus 
  6. All Members of the MCA’s Caucus  
  7. All members of the Branch Executive Committee
  8. All Chair/Secretary of Party League/Congress (i.e. Women’s, Youth, Marginalised and Minorities (MM), People Living with Disability (PLD))
  9. The National Executive Council may, at its discretion, invite individuals who have made a special contribution to the Party or who have special skills or experience to attend the Convention with no right to vote. 

At all levels, members, elected representatives, affiliated organizations, and, where practicable, the wider community will participate in the process of policy consideration and formulation.

The Policy Council shall not be more than twenty-four (24) members, comprising:
a. All members of the National Executive Council;
b. Other members, who are knowledgeable on matters in the relevant dockets, appointed by the Chairman on the recommendation of the National Executive Council
c. Not more than half of the membership of the policy council shall be of the same gender

This is the executive organ of the Party constituted by the National Delegates Convention and to hold office for a term of five years. Comprising

a. All the National Officials;
b. Secretariat’s – Executive Director, as an ex-officio member.

The Party shall establish Branches in at least twenty-four (24) Counties in Kenya. Each Branch shall be managed by a Branch Executive Committee consisting of a Branch Chairperson, Deputy Chairperson, Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Organizing Secretary, Deputy Organizing Secretary, Treasurer, Deputy Treasurer, and three other executive members from paid-up ordinary members.

The CHAMA CHA RASILIMALI National Elections Board(NEB) shall plan, organize, direct and coordinate all-party nominations and elections and shall be made up of between five and nine members including a Chairperson and ALL appointed by the NEC

The NEB Board shall appoint officers in each Branch/County to oversee party elections in the respective Counties.
